Major Landforms of America Central and the Caribbean

Cordillera Central:

Located in Dominican Republic. It is the highest mountain range of this country. It has more than 60.000.000 years old.

Cordillera de Talamanca:

Located in Costa Rica. It is the "most attractive" place (tourism) in this country. It has lots of vegetation and animal life.

Cordillera Isabelia:

Located in Honduras and Nicaragua. It is Nicaragua's central mountain range. Its highest point is Pico Mogoton, in the border of Honduras.

Maya Mountains:

Located in Belize and Guatemala. The highest point of this mountains is Doyle's Delight (1.124 m).

Sierra de Bahoruco:

Located in Haiti.

Serrania de Tabasara:

Located in western Panama. It is also called Cordillera Central or Cordillera de Chiriqui. Its highest landform is Volcan Baru (3.475 m).

Sierra Maestra:

Located in Cuba.
